Embracing the Cycle: Rebirth and Renewal Through the Lens of Death

  • Stewart Studio 723 S Ninth Street Suite 2 Gunnison, CO 81230 US (map)

This offering, led by KT Joy Folz, invites you to engage with the concept of rebirth through the exploration of death. From the moment of conception, our relationship with death evolves, serving as a constant companion—dying and being reborn daily. Just as the womb nurtures our initial development, our awareness of death shapes the container for our lives.

In a world increasingly dominated by capitalism and efficiency, many of us experience a disconnect from the deeper meanings of life and the inevitability of death. This disconnect can leave us unprepared for our own mortality and the loss of loved ones, often leading to unresolved grief and trauma. It is essential to reconnect with the wisdom of our ancestors, drawing upon their practices as we prepare for the inevitable transition into the role of ancestors ourselves.

In this offering, we will intentionally examine death through the lens of ancestral legacy, spiritual creativity, and celebratory release. We will explore the interconnectedness of “grief and praise”, discovering meaningful ways to create ceremonial offerings that honor our experiences and support the process of metabolizing grief. Together, we will cultivate a deeper understanding of these themes, fostering resilience and connection in the face of life’s greatest transition.

This is event is by donation, please RSVP.
